Job Summary/Description:
Valley Bronze of Oregon is searching for a full-time Office Manager. This career opportunity requires strong executive functioning skills, a fundamental understanding of double entry bookkeeping, proficiency using Quickbooks or BusinessWorks, and the ability to interact effectively with individual employees and departments. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and requires significant organization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities. The ideal candidate must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the position and independently follow tasks through to completion.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- General Accounting: Collaborate with the other employees in the front office to ensure that that the company books are accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordination with General Manager: Coordinate with General Manager on budget and monthly financials to ensure efficient and effective foundry operations.
- Coordination with CPA: Collaborate with outside accountant in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including the preparation of schedules and reports that assist the CPA with the preparation of said returns.
- Accounts Payable: Code and proof for accuracy of all vendor invoices for proper payment through corporate accounts payable systems.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage active and aging accounts to ensure payment collections and submit adjustments when needed.
- Payroll: Oversee payroll processing and assist as necessary.
- Human Resources: Ensure smooth onboarding of new employees.
- Compliance: Ensure that company complies with state and federal laws and regulations, specifically those dealing with workplace safety and manufacturing businesses.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by company management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledge of or a willingness to learn the processes and complexities of a bronze foundry manufacturing business.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
- 3-5 years of administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks or BusinessWorks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Education
- High School or better
· *PREFERRED* -- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
