Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray, PA is looking for part time employees as club cleaners for our Pro Shop. Looking for self-starter who works well with others in a professional manner. Working conditions: Requires both indoor and outdoor work; Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds; Lifting golf clubs on and off carts; Weekend and Holiday availability is a must. Uniform shirts and employee meals provided. Golf privileges available to employees. Additional compensation may be possible with this position.
Responsibilities:
- Loads golf clubs and related equipment of the membership of Valley Brook Country Club and their guests when preparing to play and when returning from play.
- Transports range balls to end of range and fills appropriate containers.
- Places balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
- Operates ball picker on range to retrieve balls each evening and as needed.
- Washes all range balls daily.
- Uses shag bag to get balls that are out of reach for picker.
- Assist in the keeping of an accurate and neat tee sheet to ensure all members and guests are charged properly
- Maintains lost and found.
- Maintains cleanliness of and order in bag storage room.
- Assist cart house Pro Shop Department as needed.
Duties
Gets out golf bags for players. Puts golf bags on carts. After a round, takes golf bags off carts and cleans equipment and carts promptly. Checks clubs and reports anything out of the ordinary to the Caddie Master. Puts golf bags back into assigned rack space or arranges to have golf bags taken to bag drop. Checks bag drop periodically to be sure no member or guest bags are not ready for play. AT NO TIME SHOULD A MEMBER OR GUEST CARRY THEIR BAG(S) WHEN GOLF SHOP OPERATION PERSONNEL ARE PRESENT.
Keeps Pro Shop Department clean and orderly, sweeping and dusting as required. Do not leave Pro Shop Department unattended. In closing, ensures that all players are finished, all golf carts are returned, and NO golf bags are left at the bag drop.
Keeps range ball supply in order, pick up balls on the range, and cleans range balls when needed. Operate range ball pick-up machine using extreme caution to avoid damage or injury.
