The BMT/CAR-T Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in the Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant, and Cellular Therapy team. This position involves managing care for patients undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant or CAR T-cell therapy, ensuring seamless coordination of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The coordinator serves as the primary contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, facilitating communication to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Triage patient inquiries and educate patients and families about treatment options and changes.
- Collaborate with the HBC team to ensure efficient care delivery.
- Monitor and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience, leadership abilities, and/or project management experience required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in nursing principles, clinical practice, quality, and healthcare systems required.
- Bilingual skills desirable.
Education/Licenses/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN) required.
- HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required.
