Performs a variety of standard and specialty pediatric diagnostic sonographic procedures with little or no supervision, accurately, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Maintains and respects patient's confidentiality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance and delivery of service excellence while maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical and professional code of ethics. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Position may involve some travel throughout the regional area.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two (2) years Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
- Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills to appropriately evaluate situations and determine the best method for achieving optimal results. Sound knowledge of anatomy/physiology within the perinatal environment. Good communication skills and ability to use proper channels of communication to achieve optimal service and results
- Bilingual skills preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required AND a graduate of a formal program in Ultrasonography that meets the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) qualifications or trained through a Radiologic Technology program OR a College degree - 2 year in Ultrasonography (or other Imaging related field) required
- BLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
- RDMS-AB - ARDMS Abdomen required
- ARDMS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in at least one (1) other specialty preferred
