What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Tech - Materials Distribution position at Valley Children's Healthcare?
The Distribution Technician is under the supervision of the Materials Distribution Supervisor and department Leads. The position requires general knowledge of shipping, receiving, supply distribution and computer based inventory programs and practices. This position will ensure that the areas serviced by the Materials Distribution department have the correct quantities of supplies and equipment, in the right condition at the right time. The Distribution Technician performs a full range of routine and non-routine Materials Distribution duties in accordance with hospital, regulatory and/or departmental policies and procedures while demonstrating a positive, customer services oriented, courteous, and team player attitude. . Distribution Tech-Materials Distribution upon approval from the Director of Pharmacy are authorized to access storage areas for the purpose of stocking and monitoring supplies and equipment that may be housed in the storage area, as well as stocking intravenous fluids and irrigation solutions.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum one (1) year related experience required
- Knowledge of distribution and inventory control functions
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Computerized inventory practices, and knowledge of medical supplies/equipment
- Proficiency in computer keyboarding and 10-key operations
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED preferred
