Nursing Care Position
This role involves providing high-quality patient care and coordinating plans of action through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
The Emergency Department at Valley Children's Hospital provides pediatric and trauma care to infants, children, and adolescents up to 21 years old. Our 39-bed Level II Pediatric Trauma Center sees around 120,000 patient visits annually, with two-thirds of hospital admissions coming through the Emergency Department. We have access to all pediatric subspecialties and their associated physicians.
Our department is staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency physicians who have completed a minimum of three years of general pediatric training plus an additional two to three years of fellowship training in pediatric emergency medicine.
Requirements:
- A graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred
- An active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- Life Support Certifications: HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatrics Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Experience correlated with Clinical Ladder level
- Bilingual skills desirable
