Infection Prevention Specialist
Valley Children's Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and infection prevention, with experience in surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections.
This role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, with a master's degree highly desirable. The successful candidate will also hold an active California Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab Scientist license, or a combination of a Master's in Public Health and extensive infection prevention experience.
Responsibilities:
- Detection and management of healthcare-associated infections
- Implementation of prevention measures
- Facilitating ongoing education for clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, and families about infection prevention

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's highly desirable)
- Active California Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab Scientist license, or Master's in Public Health and extensive infection prevention experience
- Minimum 3 years related experience required
- Prior experience in hospital infection prevention highly desirable
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within 24 months of hire or transfer into position
