What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist - Materials Distribution position at Valley Children's Healthcare?
The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist is to manage inventory within the Materials Distribution Warehouse. To include product ordering, auditing, physical inventories, Par Level evaluation and trouble shooting of inventory discrepancies and sourcing of alternative products as needed. Coordination with hospital personnel (clinical and non-clinical) in support of inventory related projects, new item adds, and product recall processes. This position requires, good analytical skills, multi-tasking capabilities, knowledge in inventory software programs.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years distribution experience required.
- Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Point of Use systems experience preferred.
- Must possess good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to interact effectively with and establish rapport with all levels of management and staff employees.
- Possesses recent and relevant knowledge of procurement/ERP, and Point of Use systems and clinical applications.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required.
- 2-year or 4-year college degree preferred.
