What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Care Practitioner position at Valley Children's Healthcare?
This position is accountable for managing the basic respiratory needs of patients throughout the Hospital with consistency and a minimal degree of independence under the direction of the Medical Director. The incumbent delivers patient care in an efficient manner within the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and Valley Children's Healthcare policies.

EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- 2-year college degree from approved an AMA approved respiratory care program OR 4-year college degree required.
- HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required.
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist License required.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
- NPS - Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty preferred.
