What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Distribution Tech II position at Valley Children's Healthcare?
This position is accountable for cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, and/or medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. May assume lead role.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two (2) years sterile processing experience preferred
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of instrumentation and medical devices
- Must also demonstrate proficiency in computer skills
- Prefer working knowledge of hospital equipment and computers
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
- (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician or a (CBSPDT) Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician is required or a CSPDT-CBSPD - Certified Sterile Processing Technician and CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician - required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position is required
ADDITIONAL SHIFT INFORMATION:
- Shift is mostly from 700-1530 with weekend rotation but can be scheduled on other shifts if needed
