Position Reports to: Head Chef
Position Classification: Limited part time, at-will, 10-month, non-exempt, hourly
Position Requirements:
- Able to use equipment necessary to do the work necessary
- Able to do the physical tasks necessary to accomplish the work needed
- Lift 40-50 pounds frequently

Position Overview:
Provide assistance in the kitchen to prepare school lunches at Valley Christian School
Position Responsibilities:
- Properly clean and sanitize all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
- Assist the Chef with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping
- Use of ovens and stovetops
- Assist with the unloading of delivered food supplies
- Organize and correctly store food supplies
- Hand Wash and appropriately store all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes
Other position appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or Head of School.
