Position Description
Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. This position will assist the head coach with the following duties: recruiting, coaching, monitoring student athlete academic progress, travel/logistical oversight, camp organization, and other responsibilities assigned by the athletic director and/or head coach. This is a professional coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules and regulations of affiliated national, regional, and state intercollegiate athletic associations, including the Frontier Conference and the University, and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience coaching Men's Basketball at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree, accomplished coaching background, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills; a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.
Compensation
$32,000-$34,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
