-
Facilities Maintenance
The Apartment Assistant should develop a deep sense of ownership for their properties. They will assist residents with reporting facilities concerns and regularly visit any community spaces available (laundry, parking lot, yard, sidewalks). Small issues, such as trash or litter removal and minor snow removal leading to the laundry room, are to be handled independently. The Apartment Assistant is expected to develop a positive working relationship with their Hall Director to report any major concerns.
-
Policy Enforcement and Liability Management
The Apartment Assistant will confront and document any behaviors that violate the lease agreement, Residence Hall Handbook, Student Code of Conduct, or State/Federal Laws. 24/7 support is available through Residence Life Staff, Power House, and Valley City Emergency Services.
-

The Apartment Assistant works around 4-5 hours per week. Other on- and off-campus jobs are allowed as long as tenant needs and communications from Residence Life staff are being responded to in a timely fashion. All additional jobs should be communicated with Residence Life staff.
