Position Summary:
This summer job will give you a variety of skills working on multiple summer projects through Prairie Waters Education and Research Center and the VCSU Macroinvertebrate Lab. Through Prairie Waters you will be working in our Splashin' summer camp for 5th and 6th graders and our Fishin' summer camp for 7th and 8th graders as well as helping with educating groups that visit our facility and working to keep our facility looking good. Through the VCSU Macroinvertebrate Lab we will have a variety of projects including water sampling on Lake Ashtabula. We have a grant from the North Dakota game and Fish to travel throughout North Dakota looking for mussels and aquatic insect in different rivers around the state, this project will have a lot of travel and will include some overnight trips which may require camping.
We will be working 40 hours a week Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM with a half hour lunch break and a pay rate of $17.50 per hour. There is a possibility of working a weekend or two over the summer.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Be a full-time undergraduate student (basic).
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
- TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
- Skill in observing situations.
- Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills and desire to be a team player.
- Experience with customer service- common courtesy in working with students, employees, and the public.
- Good organization and time management skills.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to move about and walk in the water.
