POSITION TITLE: Chiropractor DEPARTMENT: General Medicine
REPORTS TO: Chief Medical Officer
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Part-Time, 16-32 hours per week,
evenings and weekends may be required
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Chiropractor is responsible for
providing comprehensive Chiropractic care to an ethnically and socially diverse patient population in
accordance with protocols, policies, and procedures. The Chiropractor will ensure a high level of
quality in delivery of patient services. In addition, the Chiropractor must provide leadership and will
also manage specific clinic programs or initiatives within their specialty as assigned.

Centered Medical Home model.
- Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories;
- Evaluate patients' neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic
- Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to
- Use heat, cold, massage therapy, and other methods to treat patients.

- Obtain and record patients' medical histories.
- Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and rule out fractures
- Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
- Educate patients on the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care.
- Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of

- Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives, Quality Assurance assessments,

- Reviews and implements guidelines and protocols as disseminated by

- Executes appropriate and timely refill of patient medications.

- Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program

- Three or more years of clinical chiropractic work experience preferred
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal and Medicare coding & documentation requirements
- FQHC Experience preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Excellent communication and

- Comfortable using telemedicine technology and electronic medical records
- In-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methods
