What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community-Based Services Manager position at Valley Community Services Board?
Help support the community-based services team make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health or co-occurring disorders. Be a symbol of leadership and a mentor to the members of Community-based Services. This position requires experience working with individuals who may be dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders. This position will oversee multiple MH programs within Community-based Services. This position will be responsible for ensuring the program areas are in compliance with licensure and funding source regulations, maintain program budgets, managing staffing patterns, and service delivery. This position will provide both clinical and administrative supervision to supervisor of MH programs within the Community-based services continuum of care.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field and two years clinical experience and Leadership experience are required. LMHP or LMHP-eligible required. Valid VA driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.

Essential Functions
- Provide staff direction, insight and guidance to the ACT team, Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment Services (Mental Health Skill Building), and Forensic Reintegration Services.
- Provide additional assessment and therapy services in order to ensure consumer's needs are met and agency policies are followed.
- Responsible for staff training, supervision, and monitoring documentation to ensure that paperwork adheres to all state, agency, Medicaid, and DBHDS policies and standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation.
- Participates in program budget development/oversight.
- Maintains proficiency in the use of Electronic Health Records
- Provides back-up coverage of direct services to consumers when other staff are unavailable or unable to perform essential job duties.
