VCSB is looking for a new Developmental Services Support Coordinator to join our team to provide ongoing community assistance to individuals with intellectional and/or developmental disabilities and their families who reside in Staunton, Waynesboro, Augusta County or Highland County. As a member of a passionate, collaborative team, the Developmental Services Support Coordinator is responsible for guiding the individuals on their caseload through the identification and development of community based services, monitoring satisfaction, and assisting individuals to receive the support/services and general assistance they need and desire to enjoy a high quality of life in their chosen community.

Summary of Essential Functions
- Collaborates with the family, friends, and service providers of the individual receiving services to support the needs, desires, and interests of the individual.
- Initiates and drives the development of person-centered planning through a combination of formal and informal assessments.
- Makes referrals to and helps the individual apply for requested services and supports identified through the person-centered plan and shared planning documents.
- Advocates for the highest-possible degree of choice for the individuals receiving services in all pertinent matters.
- Partners with individuals receiving services to foster a high degree of satisfaction with their services.
- Provides crisis intervention as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Current certification as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP).
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
- At least one year of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
