This position is part time and in the Somerset, PA area.

Job Description:

Under supervision, the supported employment specialist provides direct client services in the areas of employment counseling, client needs assessment, vocational evaluation, employment preparation, training, referral to community resources and support services, in additional to program eligibility and/or job development and placement.

The best candidate for this role should possess a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the needs of developmentally disabled adults in the working community and the ability to train developmentally disabled adults on a one-to-one basis using a variety of techniques.

Qualifications:

• Valid PA driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Supported Employment Certification (VCS will cover cost of certification program if certification is needed)
• Background checks
• Physical/Mantoux TB required
• Pre-Employment Drug Testing
