NATURE OF WORK:
Oversees the daily functions of the SUD residential programs; ACT Unit and New Beginnings, a short term and a long term community based residential program for adults with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder, to see that the office duties, activities, and operations are completed in a timely manner. This is achieved through activities such as: recruiting, hiring, orienting, scheduling and supervising the Residential Assistants; maintaining program, maintenance, and safety reports, ordering and maintaining program supplies, coordinating client daily needs with clinical staff , and oversight of facility needs for the smooth provision of residential and treatment services. Provides clinical supervision of the Residential Assistants/Peer Recovery Support Specialists and leads monthly staff meetings and is involved, as part of the treatment team, in interviewing and making decisions about referrals to the program. Provides some clinical services. Promotes a positive environment for both residents and staff. Completes and/or assist with Special Projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversight of daily operations of the ACT Unit and New Beginnings Program as developed.
- Responsibility for all recruitment, training, evaluating, scheduling and supervision of Residential Assistants/Peer Recovery Supports Specialists.
- Oversight of physical facility including agency vehicles and security camera footage, noting needed repairs to Maintenance, safety concerns to the Program Manager, and prepares monthly safety checks and fire drill log.
- Contributes to the development of the agenda for the monthly staff meetings that includes the scheduling and provision of a training component during each meeting.
- Contributes to the development of the monthly P&L report, Quarterly Outcomes with the Program Manager and Division Director.
- Assists the PM in coordinating daily client needs with the clinical staff to ensure the smooth provision of services and residential care.
- Assists in reviewing referrals.
- Coordination and development of community involvement into these programs.
- Adhere to documentation standards.
- Informs Program Manager SUD Residential Programs on an as needed basis of external and internal events and changes that affect the daily operation of the program.
- Use clear written and/or verbal communication skills for all letters, reports, and correspondences.
- Review residential shift notes and program log on a daily basis.
- Shares On-Call Coverage with Program Manager and other designated on call staff.
- Provides back up assessment and supportive counseling services as credentialed and covers unfilled residential shifts as needed.
- Participate in employee and clinical meetings.
- Adheres to Valleys Standards of Conduct and Compliance.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Attend trainings as required.
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services field.
- One-year experience supervisory experience.
- Previous experience working with consumers with substance use disorders.
- Previous experience in provision of behavioral health services.
- Ability to comply with all of Valleys Policies and procedures.
- Ability to comply with Clients Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to legally transport clients.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or ability to be trained.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist
- Certification in Addictions Counseling
