NATURE OF WORK:
Coordinates the daily residential functions of the SUD residential programs; ACT Unit and New Beginnings, 3.5 and 3.1 SUD waiver residential programs, to ensure client services are provided in accordance with program, agency, state and federal regulations. This is achieved through daily coordination with Administration Support, and clinical staff and involves activities such as: organizing appointments for clients, assisting client to meet their residential goals such as attending scheduled programming and adhering to regulations of the programs that include but are not limited to attending to their ADLs, self-administration of their medication, being prompt for scheduled programming and individual scheduled medical and or treatment service appointments, and assisting the Service Coordinators with treatment planning activities such as helping the residents complete recovery housing and benefit applications, and transporting clients to outside appointments as needed. Provides needed RA duties during shift or back up on other residential shifts as needed. Completes and/or assist with Special Projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist new clients to get oriented to the treatment program and environment; its programming schedule, expectations, rules and regulations.
- Assist with the intake process, which includes but is not limited to: inventorying belongings, securing personal items, review of rules, regulations etc.
- Ensuring clients are aware and attend scheduled programming per the daily treatment and residential schedules as developed.
- Coordinate residential consumer needs with the PM, Supervisors, Administration Support staff, and clinical staff.
- Ensure the needs are addressed, i.e. medical appointments are made and kept, aftercare arrangements are made and kept.
- Transporting clients to scheduled appointments as needed.
- Oversee residential and program supplies ensuring they are ordered as needed.
- Assists the Program Supervisors and Program Manager in training new Residential Assistants.
- Adhere to documentation standards.
- Informs SUD Residential Program Manager on an as needed basis of external and internal events and changes that affect the daily operation of the program.
- Participate in employee and clinical meetings.
- Adheres to Valleys Standards of Conduct and Compliance.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Attend trainings as required.
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: (In-Doors 75% Out-doors25%)
WORK PACE: Self-paced, requiring the ability to make decisions quickly and accurately in an oftentimes fast-paced, demanding work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience as a business office manager/coordinator.
- Ability to comply with all of Valleys Policies and procedures.
- Ability to comply with Clients Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to legally transport clients.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or ability to be trained.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of substance use disorders.
- Previous experience in provision of behavioral health services.
- Prior residential experience
- Prior lived experience with substance use disorders or family member with lived experience of same
