NATURE OF WORK: To perform normal janitorial work under the direction of the Supervisor of Maintenance and Transportation. Staff will be responsible for regularly scheduled cleaning of assigned facility as well as general upkeep of the facilities of the agency. This is not a direct client-care position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Janitorial and cleaning services including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, mopping tile floors, cleaning glass surfaces and entrance areas and replacing paper products in bathrooms as well as general cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen areas.
- Responsible for ensuring cleaning and paper materials/items are maintained in designated storage areas by reporting replacement needs to supervisor.
- Travel to all locations owned or leased by Valley to perform assigned duties.
- Assist in moving and relocating furniture at all locations owned by Valley and/or moving furniture or other items to and from storage facilities and alternate locations.
- Assist in taking vehicles to repair shops and documentation of this into vehicle logbooks.
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Drivers License.
- Must be able to comprehend written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work alone on assignments and bring them to completion.
- Ability to comply with Clients Rights and Mandatory Reporting Requirements.
- Ability to comply with Valleys and Division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to be trained in CPR/AED/First Aid
