Operators and Laborers for Golf and Grounds

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operators and Laborers to oversee our landscaping and groundskeeping operations. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance, lawn care, and the effective use of both hand and power tools. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can manage teams, develop maintenance schedules, and ensure the highest standards of quality in all landscaping projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the groundskeeping team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality landscape maintenance.
• Develop and implement comprehensive landscape maintenance plans, including irrigation, lawn care, and garden upkeep.
• Oversee the use of hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to assess health, appearance, and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with other departments to align landscaping projects with organizational goals.
• Train staff on best practices for groundskeeping, including proper equipment use and maintenance techniques.
• Manage budgets related to landscaping projects and supplies while ensuring cost-effective practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in landscape management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape management is essential.
• Strong knowledge of gardening techniques, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.
• A degree or certification in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
