What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dermatology Medical Receptionist position at Valley Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center?
The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients. Duties include variations of receptionist responsibilities—greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients/families; scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, operating several types of basic office equipment, skincare knowledge, aesthetic knowledge, etc.
This position requires excellent customer service skills. It is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner and pleasant phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families co-workers, physicians and the general public.
Minimum Requirements: One year in a medical setting, working directly with various insurance contracts. A general understanding of basic insurance requirements is necessary. Willing to travel to Colville one Friday a month.
