Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Team Lead/Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, managing the providers schedule, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and maintaining efficient office procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic's calendar.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize Modmed or similar electronic health record systems effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office management is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in front desk operations within a clinic setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of health information management practices is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to medical administration.
- Experience working in an ophthalmology practice is a plus
