What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Valley Fitness Atascadero?
Do you love the look of a clean space? We’re looking for an experienced janitor to fill a position on our team. You’ll keep our building impeccably clean, vacuum and mop floors, wash windows, empty trash, and perform other maintenance and cleaning duties as needed. $16 hourly
Responsibilities:- Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace light bulbs, and supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis
- Keep the building safe, clean, and well-maintained
- Document areas cleaned and let managers know if major repairs need to be made
- Eliminate dangerous hazards and wipe up spills with squeegees or sponges
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
- Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
- Over 1 year of experience in cleaning services as a janitor or similar job
- Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
- Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
- Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification
