About the Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring transaction accuracy, and supporting the financial health of our practice. You will assist with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting, all while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism. Over time, as you showcase your abilities, you will have the opportunity to take on higher-level financial responsibilities and step into a Controller role. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and track financial transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation.
- Generate financial reports, assist in budgeting, and analyze financial data.
- Support the accountant in audits and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion while handling financial data.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in financial strategy and process improvement.
- Long-term ambition to grow into a Controller role.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
