Auto Body Technician and Auto Body Apprentice

We are a locally owned, and family operated dealer group since 1964 representing Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Freightliner, Western Star, Hino, and Isuzu across Ohio and Michigan with over 12 rooftops seeking an Auto Body Technician for our Valley Ford of Columbus location. We are currently looking to add some Auto Body Techs and Apprentices to our growing team.

Essential Duties:

· Work on all vehicle makes and models.

· Properly read and supplement repair estimates.

· Restore structural dimensions and integrity to collision damaged vehicles.

· Use measuring and frame equipment to diagnose damage and return damaged frame or uni-body parts to manufacturer’s specifications.

· Use hand tools and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts.

· Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

· Work with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical, and mechanical parts.

· Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts for repairs.

· Research repair information as needed.

· Be physically fit to lift, bend, and work with large frame equipment and welders.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must have of experience as a collision/body technician.

· I-CAR and aluminum certification preferred.

· Willingness to have patience and learn

· Ability to pass pre-employment testing including: background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report

Hours available to turn: 80 per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
