Used Car Sales Manager

Valley Ford of Huron is seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Sales Manager to add to our already established team.

Successful persons in this position should demonstrate the following:

Ability to Control Aged Inventory over 90 days

Ability to recondition/ follow a reconditioning process

Ability to purchase vehicles at proper pricing to the benefit of the company

Able to work in a team environment and professionally manage alongside a General Manager, a team of salespersons

An individual that can rise to any occasion presented to them

An individual who is detail oriented, and constantly managing (every day) their inventory( from the stock in process to photo'ing online)

To be considered you must have used vehicle experience. Must have trade appraisal experience of a preferred 5 years, and must provide references to upon request.

Must have outside of the box thinking and care for the used inventory like you would your own business.

Responsibilities

• Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in dealer management.
• Must have at least five of those years involving trade appraisal and inventory management
• Must be able to desk deals properly
• Must be able to wholesale vehicles at cost or profit
• Passionate about customer satisfaction and professional
• Determine monthly and yearly forecasts in terms of unit sales, gross profit objectives, and departmental profits for sales meetings
• Work with each salesperson & manager on specific goals and objectives. Help them hit those objectives
• Create a positive sales culture for the team & create a “team” atmosphere focusing on employee satisfaction.
• Attend sales meetings and discuss current trades or purchases to inform the sales staff
• Maintain a balanced inventory. Maintain a healthy days supply.
• Must work well with ownership

· Responsible for appraising, purchasing, reconditioning, displaying, and merchandising the used vehicle inventory.

· Stay informed of industry current trends, market trends in the used vehicle market sector

· Communicate to the sales staff daily changes to the inventory and any needed training.(When not in meetings also)
