Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain signatures from all visitors.
- Maintain visitor logs.
- Make rounds in a timely and unpredictable manner.
- Provide assistance to nursing staff or any other person who may need reinforcement.
- Establish positive interaction with patients and visitors.
- Enforce Hospital policies related to safety and security.
- Provide written documentation of visitor/ patient complaints and concerns.
- Communicate any problems to manager in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Knowledge and Job Skills:
- Oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills.
- Able to participate in managing unsatisfied patients, visitors, etc.
- Able to deal with crisis.
- Able to lift patients.
- Physical dexterity.
- Able to recognize untoward, emergent or unusual situations or behaviors.
- Able to work in a manner that assures the safety of oneself, others and equipment.
Education:
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED) required.
Experience:
Hospital Security experience preferred.
1-year experience in Security is required.
Schedule:
FT 2nd shift 3 days per week plus every other weekend.
2:30pm-11pm
Salary:
18/hr. plus shift differential
