Vocational Nursing Instructor
The Vocational Nursing Instructor is directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives of the Vocational Nursing Program and ensuring program compliance with the Texas Board of Nursing, ABHES and TWC. These responsibilities require leadership in both academic and workforce areas and include meeting student retention goals; participating in educational planning; evaluating student performance; motivating and advising students; and generating program reports as needed.

Responsibilities
- Implement and assess nursing curriculum that meets educational standards and student needs.
- Provide instruction in nursing theory and practice, emphasizing patient care and medical terminology.
- Supervise students in clinical settings, ensuring adherence to nursing skills, safety and care protocols.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments and feedback, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance program effectiveness and participate in research initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid LVN license
- Strong background in curriculum development and higher education teaching
- Proficiency in medical terminology and patient care
- Experience with LMS platforms
- Ability to supervise and manage nursing students effectively
- Familiarity with critical care and acute care settings
- Knowledge of nursing administration and documentation review
- Experience in adult education and classroom management
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
