POSITION SUMMARY:
To support the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department. Serves as a point of contact for patients, referring physician offices and insurance providers. Responsible for providing a variety of services such as: pre-registration, registration, scheduling, file management including the EMR, insurance and authorization processing, patient/department support, materials/inventory management, education/development and unit-specific tasks.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of formal business/medical training preferred. Completion of BA training program required. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred. Completion of Registration training pr
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 to 6 months of experience as a Business Assistant or equivalent experience. Computer Experience à ¬ knowledge of Windows environment. Previous customer service experience required. Medical office experience required.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English * Ability to work cooperatively with health system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
