Job Description
Under the direction of the Central Supply Manager, the Inventory Control Coordinator maintains the stock inventory at Shared Services in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Facilitates the daily cycle counts for all inventory locations.
Identifies discrepancies and makes the appropriate correction after thoroughly researching to find the source of any errors.
Helps facilitate the annual physical counts for all inventory locations.
Builds/maintains stock master files for stock items.
Orders adequately to maintain stock at the established levels.
Assists in identifying/calculating PAR levels to meet changes in patient care demands.
Requisitions non-stock supplies via Purchasing on the designated day.
Reviews out-of-stock notices and coordinates with the Customer Service Representative any expediting needed to ensure stock is available.
Assists staff in shelving inventory and pulling orders when necessary.
Audits inventory requisitions for accuracy before requisitions are filled.
Verifies requisitions for accuracy before entry into the system.
Enters supply requisitions daily for designated areas within four hours of transaction time.
Facilitates the keying of data from supply requisitions in a timely manner.
Reviews month-end reports to ensure accuracy, making any corrections to any errors.
Makes recommendations to adjust PAR levels to ensure 98% fill rate.
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
Experience with spreadsheet software required.
Minimum Two (2) Years' Experience In Inventory Control Preferred.
Experience with medical supplies preferred.
Qualifications
Good communication skills required
