Cashier Job Description
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis is a MUST.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage cash transactions and maintain accurate records
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English to interact with customers effectively
- Basic technical sales of hardware and power equipment to promote products or services to customers.
- Plumbing, Electrical, Hardware, Power Equipment knowledge is desirable
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities
- Ideal candidate would have forklift experience or certification
