Job Summary
Valley Honda, Pittsburgh's #1 volume and family owned Honda dealership is looking to hire a parts delivery driver to serve our wholesale customers. The job would require driving to our customers' locations, loading and unloading delivery van, and also helping out in our Parts Department with organizational tasks.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting parts and materials to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience in commercial driving, route driving, and warehouse operations.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport parts to designated locations.
- Load and unload parts from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and organization of parts.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Previous experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving parts.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing deliveries and paperwork.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
