Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced environment, such as an Urgent Care facility or Level II Trauma Center. The X-ray Technician will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray scans and other imaging procedures as required.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure proper imaging techniques are applied.
Qualifications
- Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with urgent care settings and experience working in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and imaging techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
