Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced bar & grill kitchen environment. This is a great entry-level position for a high school student. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed.
• Backup assistance with food preparation tasks as required, including basic food handling and preparation duties
• Bussing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area as needed
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow during peak service times.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a bar and grill setting as a dishwasher or similar role is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Capability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Must be dependable. Consistent attendance and timeliness are crucial.
• The kitchen environment can become very hectic so the ability to work well during peak times is very important.
• Familiarity with industrial dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
