Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Calibration Technician with a strong background in metrology. The ideal candidate will be proficient in one or more calibration disciplines—electrical, temperature, pressure, dimensional, or gas safety—and familiar with industry-leading equipment brands. This is a full-time, lab-based position focused on delivering precision calibration services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Expectations
Calibration Technicians are responsible for performing accurate, timely calibrations while maintaining clear and thorough documentation. To ensure the highest standards, candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their technical proficiency during the interview process. This skills assessment may involve performing calibrations using electrical, pressure, temperature, dimensional, or torque reference standards, depending on their stated areas of expertise. As a representative of our lab, you will build trust with internal and external clients by upholding our values of integrity, accountability, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of instrumentation.
  • Manage documentation and update sales orders with repair notes, parts used, and calibration details.
  • Support customer inquiries related to calibration specifications and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, projecting a professional image at all times.
  • Adhere to industry standards and internal quality protocols.

Knowledge & Skills
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with:

  • Calibration standards, traceability, and accuracy/uniformity ratios.
  • Instrumentation and equipment calibration across various disciplines, including pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and temperature.
  • Test equipment brands such as Fluke, Crystal, Ametek/Jofra, Extech, AEMC, Additel, Ralston, Starrett, and Mitutoyo.
  • Safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Working independently and making decisions within the defined scope of work.

Experience & Education

  • Relevant experience in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation is required, with preference given to candidates with multi-discipline expertise (e.g., electrical, pressure, temperature).
  • A two-year technical degree (such as Electronics, Engineering, or related fields) is preferred but not required. Equivalent military training or significant hands-on experience will also be considered.
  • ISO 17025, Quality System experience, or familiarity with industrial calibration in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Relocation Assistance
For qualified candidates relocating from outside the area, we offer a relocation bonus to help offset moving expenses. This bonus is payable upon successful completion of a three-month probationary period. We are committed to supporting your transition to joining our team in Bakersfield, CA.
