ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and self-driven BIM/VDC Manager to establish and lead our BIM department. This role will involve developing strategies, collaborating with stakeholders, and creating workflows that will serve all six branches, with a focus on optimizing our Columbus office as the central hub.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- File Management: Collaborate directly with general contractors and architects to acquire project-specific CAD and Revit files, converting them into usable formats for our HP SitePrint layout printers.
- Cross-Branch Support: Provide remote support to our branches and prefabrication shop once the department is operational.
- BIM Strategy: Develop and implement BIM execution plans tailored to projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards with the potential to build a BIM department in the future.
- Training: Train internal teams and project partners on BIM processes and tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Technology Innovation: Research and integrate emerging BIM technologies to improve efficiency and collaboration across the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in BIM, CAD, or Revit in the construction industry; experience establishing or leading a department is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM, Revit, and CAD software. Experience with HP SitePrint printers is an advantage.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage a team and collaborate across multiple branches.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical challenges in BIM processes.
- Education: A degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
