Job Summary:
Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00
The primary duties of a Press Brake operator are to operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Perform quality checks and produce accurate parts. Operate the press brake to form and bend the materials into the shape specified on the prints or drawings. On the first article and throughout the process check the parts you are forming for accuracy.
Essential Functions:
· Reading blueprints and drawings
· Machine set up.
· Measuring parts for accuracy and consistency.
· Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
· Retrieve material, load material on machines, setup machine for each job.
· This includes pulling plates off machines from ten (10) pounds to two hundred (200) pounds, depending on material.
· Cleaning and de-slagging parts.
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· All other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Minimum Experience Required: 2 years press brake experience.
3. Skills Required:
i. Reading blueprints and drawings
ii. Attention to detail
iii. Knowledge of sheet and plate products (grades, thickness)
iv. Proficient in reading and writing English
v. Must know how to read calipers, micrometers, scales, angle finders, tape measures, and understand different scales of measurement
vi. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work
vii. Tooling Set-ups
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.50 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
