Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Cashier at Jim Falk Automotive Group is a vital member of our customer service team. As the first point of contact for our customers, the Automotive Service Cashier is responsible for ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all service department visitors. This is an individual contributor role that requires exceptional communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to accurately handle financial transactions.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our Automotive Service Cashier position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $22 per hour, paid semi-monthly. Commensurate to Experience. Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the service department
• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or team member
• Assist customers with scheduling appointments and providing information about our services
• Process and accurately record service payments using cash, credit, or check
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and reports
• Manage and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift
• Keep the service department waiting area clean and organized
• Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure the smooth flow of operations in the service department
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proficient in basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
