We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with menus.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Utilize the POS system for managing waitlists and reservations efficiently.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items and restaurant policies.
- Monitor dining area to ensure cleanliness and prompt service at all times.
- Assist in training new staff members on guest service standards and restaurant procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for providing exceptional guest services and helping others enjoy their dining experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
