Job Description:
Valley Landscaping is seeking landscape professionals for crew leader and crew member positions. You will be responsible for completing quality landscape maintenance and enhancement projects safely and efficiently while maintaining associated equipment, paperwork, tools and materials as necessary. Services include landscaping maintenance, installs, pruning, aeration and overseeding, annual installations, and more.
Production Responsibilities:
- Complete daily tasks while managing safety, quality, and efficiency among the team.
- Practices, monitors, and enforces safety protocols established by the company.
- Monitors, inspects, and ensures job completion to Valley Landscaping’s standards within the time frame allotted.
- Enforces company policies and procedures while providing positive attitude to the team.
- Uphold and convey a positive image of Valley Landscaping by maintaining a clean, neat, and professional appearance of trucks and trailers.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of lawn maintenance practices which include mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, chemical applications, leaf removal, snow removal, and site cleanup. Also includes plant, insect and disease identification.
- Crew Leaders supervise team members, quality assurance, and manage project/route logistics.
Requirements:
- No experience required for some positions.
- Pruning and horticulture knowledge preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record is preferred for crew members and required for crew leader positions.
- Supervisory experience required for crew leader positions.
- Grounds Maintenance Crew Leaders: 1 year (Preferred)
- Stoop/bend/lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for periods of 8 hours or more.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when needed.
- Snow removal experience is a plus.
