What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp Archery Instructor position at Valley Lo Club?
Job Summary:
Camp runs from 7:45am to 3:30pm and operates from June 10 to August 1, each Tuesday through Friday.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and guiding campers in the archery. This role requires a strong background in archery(safety, shooting, etc) . The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of all ages.. Duties:
- Assists in maintaining a safe work environment
- Set up and tear down of appropriate equipment each day.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and report any breakage to Camp Director.
- Create age appropriate lesson plans for class periods.
- Effectively teach and instruct assigned sport/activity.
- Be a positive role model for all JSC participants.
- Be available to all campers who come to your area and demonstrate a personal interest in each one.
- Actively engage and participate in all other JSC activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in your specific area as well as the full Club grounds.
- Be aware of all the campers in your area and know where they are at all times. (Headcounts)
- Be respectful of all Club personnel and equipment.
- Attend orientation and staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Experience:
- A passion for fishing is needed.
- Experience working with kids is a huge plus (babysitting, coaching, etc.)
