As a Shipping and Receiving team member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of goods and materials to our customers and internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them accurately
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records and traceability of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist in inventory management by conducting periodic counts and audits
- Load and unload shipments using forklift, overhead crane, and other material handling equipment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Shipping and Receiving role preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Able to lift 80 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Integrity; conduct oneself in an ethical manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Good housekeeping skills
- Ability to follow company safety and quality policies
- Basic computer skills
