Director of Nursing - RN

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, with expertise in acute care settings. This leadership role requires effective management skills, a deep understanding of resident rights, and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. The Director of Nursing will oversee nursing staff, ensure compliance with medical regulations, and foster a culture of excellence in patient care.

Duties

• Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for residents.
• Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Manage shift schedules effectively to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.
• Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Ensure that resident rights are upheld and that patients receive compassionate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance overall patient outcomes.
• Monitor quality assurance initiatives and implement improvements as necessary.
• Stay current with medical terminology and healthcare trends to inform best practices within the facility.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in nursing administration or leadership roles within acute care or home care settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical records management and documentation review processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and families.
• Familiarity with resident rights regulations and commitment to upholding them.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in developing care plans that meet the diverse needs of residents.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to nursing practice.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
