Responsibilities of Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA):
Directs the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern nursing facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
Manage a long-term care facility’s staff—from hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation.
Control the facility’s finances and design budgets, manage billing and reimbursement, monitor payroll, and report to board-level governance.
Update processes to comply with federal and state regulations in the delivery of care, in the safety of the building, and in the security of patient data.
Interface with residents, families, and staff.
Represent the facility in professional and community activities.
Interpret resident needs and collaborate with families.
Qualifications for the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA):
Current Nursing Home Administrator’s license
Experience in a skilled nursing facility
Excellent leadership skills
Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations
Superb decision-making skills
