What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position at Valley Medical Associates - Adult & Pediatric Medicine?
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.
See patients for four days a week, ensuring thorough evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Participate in on-call coverage. One monthly night call, and two weekend calls per year.
Utilize RAF HCC coding in the clinical setting to assess patient risk, document conditions, and ensure accurate coding for optimal reimbursement and care planning.
Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to evaluate, treat, and manage common adult illnesses presenting in a family medicine environment such as HTN, diabetes, women's health, mental health, and common lower acuity illnesses. Must be knowledgeable in current guidelines in preventive care. Ability to treat common childhood illnesses and to perform well child examinations.
Requirements:
Graduate of a certified NP or PA program.
Active unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant/NP in MA.
Current DEA certification
