Valley Medical Group is looking for a phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team and work in our Greenfield Health Center. If you are looking for a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity!
Position: Phlebotomist
Location: Greenfield
Hours: 40 hours, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, plus rotating Saturday mornings. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.
As a phlebotomist, the candidate must have the ability to collect blood from patients of all ages through venipuncture. A successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good customer service skills, and be proficient in computers, data entry, and the operation of equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collecting samples from patients of all ages
- Processing and accessions of clinical specimens
- Checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting patients
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from a Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
- Previous customer service or medical office experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- CPT preferred, but not required
- EMR experience preferred, Athena experience a plus
