The Assistant Superintendent of Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) Maintenance plays a key leadership role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of LRV operations. This position assists with managing preventive maintenance programs, inspections, and servicing of LRVs and equipment, while also administering budgets, developing and implementing maintenance policies, and optimizing resources. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Transportation Management, or a related field. Directly related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience:
- Seven (7) years of experience in heavy or light rail vehicle maintenance, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
- Three (3) years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, inspections, and repairs for transit vehicles and equipment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, rail transit operations, and equipment maintenance
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to LRV maintenance.
Background Investigation:
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with the ability to maintain insurability under Valley Metro's vehicle insurance policy.

Salary : $85,793 - $128,689
