The Marketing Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development, execution, and optimization of marketing strategies and campaigns. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless delivery of projects, from concept to completion. The Marketing Program Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of various marketing initiatives, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the department's goals and contribute to overall Agency objectives.

The Marketing Program Coordinator will oversee project timelines, coordinate resources, track performance metrics, and ensure consistent messaging across various channels. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple projects simultaneously, work in a fast-paced environment, and thrive in both independent and team-based settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for marketing innovation.

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of full time professional working experience in marketing and managing projects. Directly related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.  

License: 
Valid Arizona driver’s license and safe driving record.

Assists with the overall agency marketing strategy, planning and communications for the agency and its services; developing regional awareness and increasing customer retention.
 
Oversees and coordinates marketing projects within the department, which include: maintaining timelines; maximizing budget, internal and external resources; proofing creative materials; printing collateral and posting web content; prioritizing work; updating information.
 
Develops and maintains working relationships with internal Valley Metro clients, staff from Valley Metro member cities and vendors; sets up or participates at meetings as needed; develops content for marketing projects; oversees review process with stakeholders; evaluates, discusses and incorporates feedback for projects; proposes recommendations based on campaign performance.
 
Prepares, updates and revises a wide variety of marketing materials, project plans, reports and/or other related information.
 
Serves as a project coordinator for all assigned marketing assignments; strong client relations, project prioritization, time management, proofing and organizational skills are required.
 
Monitors projects within the marketing department to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable departmental and agency goals.
 
Participates in developing, implementing and maintaining program policies and procedures; assists and guides various vendors, such as market research firlsm, public relations, and advertising firms, design studios, and video production companies.

Forecasts and maintains service, supply, and/or equipment needs; researches and prepares scopes of work, requests for proposals or quotes, requests for bid, service agreements, and/or other print or production related information.
 
Serves as a liaison and conduit of information for internal departments, public agencies, external organizations, the general public, stakeholders and/or other interested parties.
 
Participates in a variety of meetings, working groups, committees, promotional events and/or other related groups and activities.
 
Participates in planning, coordinating and overseeing special events and activities in assigned area of responsibility.
 
Performs other duties of similar nature and level as assigned.
 
Knowledge of:
Applicable marketing principles and practices
Possesses editing and proofreading skills, including AP Style writing
Recordkeeping principles (master files, print ready files, web ready files)
Traditional and digital media forms (PR, radio, print, TV, online, social media, etc.)
Project management principles
Client and customer service principles
Professional communication and copy writing
Event coordination principles
Contract management principles and practices

Using a computer and related software applications including being proficient with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite

Communicating in order to interact with co-workers, manager, Director, and the general public at a level sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work directionPhysical Demands:

Work Environment:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Salary : $64,458 - $96,686
